South Carolina Golf School at The Clubs of Cherokee Valley
Travelers Rest, South Carolina
It just takes one visit to The Clubs of Cherokee Valley in South Carolina to know you are in a very special place. Ancient people walked and lived on this land. Today, their legends remain as strong as the spirit of Cherokee Valley.
P.B. Dye is a third generation member of one of this country’s most acclaimed golf course design families. When he used his considerable talents to design the Cherokee Valley golf course, P.B. fell in love with the land so much, he and his wife were married on the course and had their reception in the Clubhouse!
P.B. Dye took his first golf lesson at the age of four. By six, he was following his legendary father, Pete Dye, around golf course construction sites. All of that exposure to the game and to golf course design has definitely paid off. Since 1981, P.B. has had his hand in the design of about two dozen courses–three of which are on the list of top 100 golf courses in the United States. Everyone who plays here agrees that P.B.’s brilliant course design is one of the crown jewels of The Clubs of Cherokee Valley!
Southern warmth and hospitality exudes from the Cherokee Valley Clubhouse, offering its guests refuge from the outside world and a haven from the stress and cares of today’s hectic life.
